Thailand Became Reachable: Applying for the Thai eVisa

Thailand once meant embassy visits and a police clearance certificate. The eVisa channel changed that, and it is now one of the more straightforward Asian applications from Nigeria.

What changed

For years a Thai tourist visa from Nigeria meant travelling to the embassy, assembling a police clearance certificate and accepting case-by-case treatment. Many travellers simply removed Thailand from the list.

Thailand now runs an official electronic visa channel, and tourist applications are expected to go through it rather than through the embassy counter. That removed the single biggest obstacle for applicants outside Abuja.

What you will be asked for

The evidence set is familiar: identity, itinerary and the means to fund it. Requirements vary by country of residence, so check the portal against your own circumstances before assembling anything.

  • Current passport with adequate remaining validity, plus previous passports
  • Completed online application and a compliant photograph
  • Confirmed return flight reservation and accommodation bookings
  • Recent bank statements showing sufficient available funds
  • Employment or business evidence supporting the stated income

Planning around processing

Treat the visa as the first item in the plan rather than the last. We hold flights on refundable or changeable terms until the decision is issued, and we do not commit to non-refundable hotels beforehand.

Fees and processing times are set by Thai immigration and change; verify both on the official portal for your application date.

How Primeline files it

We prepare the document set, review the financial evidence for the consistency problems that cause refusals, and structure the itinerary so the stated purpose, dates and bookings agree. Once approved, the same itinerary becomes the trip we operate.
